The Atlantic County Workforce Development Board are coming to The Pirates Den on March 29th to present their intuitive programs to our Chamber Members. This is a great opportunity to see all they have to offer. Spaces are Limited. Job promotion, posting, and job fairs – we promote employment opportunities to the public via our Facebook page, direct referrals by staff, and distribution to our community partners. We also offer virtual and in-person recruitment events Job matching – we query our database to “match and notify” jobseekers to suitable opportunities OJT – A partial wage reimbursement model that incentivizes the hiring of jobseekers from disadvantaged backgrounds or who face barriers to employment (pays up to $6000) Incumbent Worker Training – 50% training cost reimbursement for upskilling current employees at an approved in-state training provider Registered Apprenticeship – Apprenticeship increases employee retention and qualifies an employer to work as a vendor for the State of New Jersey. ACWDB provides technical assistance, training cost reimbursement, and wage reimbursement of up to $6000 Transitional Jobs program – Employers may take on long-term unemployed clients with no requirement to keep them beyond the program’s six-month duration. Wage reimbursement is 100% (up to $6000)
